Sarah Chalke
Sarah Chalke was conceived in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke, and Doug Chalke are her parents. Sarah is the middle child having an older sister, Natasha Chalke, and one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah began her acting career with City Boy (1992), produced for television. Following her debut film Sarah auditioned for the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) in 1993. The show was in search of someone to fill in for Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated from high school in 1995 while filming the 1994-95 Roseanne (1988) season. Sarah also starred with Jim Varney (1994) in Ernest Goes to School (1994). Then, in 1996, she appeared in two films which included Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996), where she played a cheerleadernamed "Krista Wilson". Sarah was invited to perform in the 1998 show Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy. The show was released one year following Roseanne (1988). Based on Nothing Too Good For a Cowboy (1998) which the show was also based. In 1993 she assumed Becky's character on Roseanne (1988). She stated that she would prefer to not perform and pursue a degree in college. [2001] (1993-1997) Played older sister to Sara Gilbert on Roseanne (1988) however she is actually younger. Participated in the 1999 CCMA award ceremony and received an award for the best single of the year. September 1999: Appeared at age of eight in Vancouver's theatre productions. She is fluent in French, German and Spanish. She helps out at a hospice where patients with terminal illness are treated . She also works with the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chalke is a cook who enjoys eating with friends (especially Thai or sushi) as well as play guitar, go on hikes, ski (she's an instructor) and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer, and both her parents are mediators. They also manage a child adoption company. Her parents took her to China in order to oversee the adoptions of many orphans.
