Natasha Tonya Henstridge - born on August 15, 1975, is a Canadian actress from Canada. Her fame began in 1995 with her first role in the sci-fi thriller Species. Then followed Species II and Species III. She has appeared in numerous TV and film productions which include Maximum Risk (1996). The Whole Nine Yards (2000). The Whole Ten Yards (2004). Ghosts of Mars (1901), She Spies(2002-2004), Eli Stone (2008–2009) and Would Be Kings (2008). The Gemini Award was given to her for the Best Actress in the second film. She is a star in the CBC Television Series Diggstown. Henstridge was an Springdale, Newfoundland and Labrador native. She was the daughter of Helen Henstridge (a homemaker) and Brian Henstridge (a construction manager and businessman). She was raised in Fort McMurray with her younger brother Shane. Henstridge, who was 14 when she was born, was a participant in the Casablanca Modeling Agency’s Look of the Year contest. He was the first runner–up. In the next year, she moved to Paris to explore her modeling dreams. At the age of 15, she appeared on the cover of her debut magazine, Cosmopolitan, the French version of Cosmopolitan. Henstridge was featured on a variety of other magazine covers, and she was later able to appear on commercials on TV for Old Spice, Olay, and Lady Stetson. Henstridge became a successful model, and she began commercials. She decided to go back to acting.
