Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She was also an instructor for the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of her own Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, a Food Network presenter with her distinctive long, blonde hair with a exuberant personality, shares easy methods to master and removes anxiety about restaurant food on her TV show Secrets of a Restaurant. Chef Burrell was employed at New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary traditions and landscape. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. As a youngster, living in the New York's upstate region, Burrell became passionate about food and cooking. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in the management of restaurants after she graduated with an English/Communications diploma at Canisius College Buffalo NY. She says "I enjoyed being a Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I was awed by every moment." Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic location to learn. After graduation, Burrell spent one year studying in the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners and working in Umbria's La Taverna del Lupo as in Tuscany's La Bottega del 30, a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was during this time that her experience in Italy allowed her to comprehend and appreciate Italian way of life and its culture and has made an impression on her culinary perspective. Burrell serves on the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board that helps brighten the lives of children who are struggling. She also is an Juvenile diabetes Research Foundation celebrity advocate where she raises awareness about young diabetics. Burrell speaks on her culinary love and imparts her experiences in the food world when she goes on trips across the USA in various roles such as speaker and mentor. Throughout Anne's culinary journey she has often said that I am so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
