Denise Richards Bio

Denise Richards was born in Downers Grove, Illinois, the elder of two daughters of Joni Lee, who owned the cafe, as well as Irv Richards, a phone engineer. She has German French-Canadian Irish, English, and Welsh ancestry. Her family was in the Chicago area, until the family relocated to Oceanside, CA when Denise was 15. She started her career as a model and moved to L.A. after she graduated from high school. She was offered roles in films and TV, and gave breakthrough performances in Starship Troopers (1997) with Casper Van Dien, Wild Things (1998) and The World Is Not Enough (1999) where she is the role of a Bond Girl. She also was in Undercover Brother (2002) with Eddie Griffin and appeared in Scary Movie 3 (2003) with her now ex-husband, Charlie Sheen. Moved from Downer's Grove, Illinois and then to Oceanside, California, when she was just 15. Born to Irv Richards, a telephone engineer, and his wife, Joni Richards. Has an older sisternamed Michelle Richards. Her parents run a coffeehouse named "Jitters" in San Diego, California. She auditioned for the role as Beth in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers (1995), which was performed by Mariah O'Brien. El Camino High School, Oceanside, California. (1989) She attended Downers Grove North High School, Illinois her freshman year. She attended Herrick Junior High School in Illinois until she completed eighth grade. Engagement with Charlie Sheen. January 2002, She was ranked 9 on the list of the 100 Sexiest females in the World by FHM Taiwan (2001). Her mother, Joni Richards, died of cancer on November 30 2007.
