Jennifer Carpenter Bio
American actress Jennifer Leann Carpenter, born on December 7th 1979. She is most well-known for her role as Debra Morgan in Showtime's Dexter. In 2009, she won a Saturn Award. Also, she was recognized for playing Rebecca Harris on CBS's Limitless. She began her role in the role of Erica Shepherd in The Enemy Within, an NBC drama. Carpenter initially attracted attention with her role in The Exorcism of Emily Rose. Carpenter won the 2006 MTV Movie Award, for "Best Frightened Performer", as well as an Hollywood Life Breakthrough Award. She was also awarded the designation of "Breakout performer" at 2006 Scream Awards. In 2007, she began dating her Dexter co-star Michael C. Hall. They were married on the night of New Year's Eve, 2008 in California. In January 2009, they made their first public appearance as a couple the 66th Golden Globe Awards. Hall and Carpenter released a joint statement in December 2010 announcing their separation. They remain close friends. On February 10, 2015 it was revealed that Carpenter and musician Seth Avett were engaged and expecting their first child. In August of 2015, it was revealed that Carpenter was expecting in May to a son. She also acknowledged that she was eight and a half months pregnant when shooting the pilot episode of Limitless. Carpenter and Avett got married in May of 2016.
