Tauheed Epps is an American hip-hop and rapper who is better known by the name of 2 Chainz. Georgia born, he began his musical career in hip hop with Playaz Circle, which he created with a high school buddy. Their first album, 'Supply & Demand', was an average success. Epps later released "Based on the T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was a huge success and debuted at number 1 on the US Billboard 200. The album sold 147,000 copies in its first week itself! After the album's release He hasn't looked back and has become one of the top hip-hop artists in the US. He's been shortlisted for six Grammy awards so far, out of which he has been awarded one for his track "No Problem". In 2013, he caused controversy when he was caught with marijuana and promethazine onboard the flight departing from Los Angeles International Airport. However, his run-in with the law hasn't affected his popularity. His fourth and latest studio album 'Pretty Girls Like Trap Music' was released in June 2017. 'Based on a T.R.U. Story', 2 Chainz's debut studio album could be considered to be his first major project and his biggest success. It was a big success and reached the first position on the US Billboard 200, as it selling 147,000 copies in a week. The album eventually sold 623,000 copies during the course of the year. The album featured hit singles including "No Lie' and 'Birthday Song. I'm Different was also nominated in the 55th Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. The reviews were mixed. 2 Chainz married Kesha Warren in 2013. The couple are the proud parents of three kids Heavenly, Harmony, Halo. He is not only a highly successful professional, but he is also well-known for his brush with the law. He has been detained numerous times for drug possession.
