Charisma Carpenter
Charisma Carpenter was born on July 23 in 1970. Cordelia Chase played the role of Cordelia in Buffy the Vampire Slayer's supernatural series (1997-1999) as well as its spin-off series Angel (1999-04). She also starred as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013) as well as Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] the daughter of Christine the bird sanctuary worker and Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter is of Spanish (from her maternal grandfather), French and German descent. Carpenter attended the Bishop Gorman high school in Las Vegas. Carpenter was also a part of a group of dancers and singers which performed in Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter's family relocated to Rosario Beach (Baja California, Mexico) at the age of Carpenter was 15 years old. She was a student at Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Carpenter went on a trip to Europe after her graduation. Carpenter returned to San Diego in 1991 and worked as an aerobics instructor, a videostore clerk, as well as a property manager. She was a cheerleader for San Diego Chargers football in 1991. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were assaulted by Henry Hubbard Jr., who was a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist, who tried to subdue them using a gun. Both of her friends and Hubbard were shot at during the fight. Hubbard fled the scene but both of her companions were saved. Hubbard was arrested, found guilty and sentenced to 56 years of prison for a string of rapes and robberies. Carpenter used Hubbard's flashlight to the beach, which he'd abandoned at the scene and the flashlight became an important piece of evidence used against him.
