Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was the daughter of
Gayle (Gaston) and was an executive director for national at Mary Kay and
Freddie Wright as a pharmacist executive. She was born and raised in San Diego.
She began her career as a model in the year 1980 at age 14, and was employed in
Paris as well as Japan. After high school graduation, she became an actor. She
was cast in the soap opera Santa Barbara (1984), in which she was nominated
three more times for Daytime Emmys. Dane Witherspoon was her fellow cast participant,
and she got married to the actor in 1986. She also appeared in The Princess
Bride (1987), playing the title role. After she left the cast of Santa Barbara,
she got the starring role in Denial (1990) alongside Jason Patric. It was
during State of Grace (1990) at the time she was introduced to Sean Penn. They
had two daughters: Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. Robin was back in
Hollywood with Tara in one of the most important roles in her career after
taking a break. She was a stunning actress and was a fantastic actor. She
appeared in Toys (1992) which was a comedy with Robin Williams. It was
hilarious. Wright appeared in 1994's blockbuster smash Forrest Gump (1994) with
Tom Hanks. Wright received a nomination for the Golden Globe Award in recognition
of her performance in the film as Jenny. The film offered her a small part in
The Crossing Guard (1995) which starred Jack Nicholson. After having turned
down 14 roles she was cast in the title role in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996),
directed by Pen Densham, and co-starring Morgan Freeman and Stockard Channing.
Then, she starred in Erin Dignam's Loved (1997), with William Hurt.
