Heather Childers

  Heather Star Childers is an American television anchor. Formerly an anchor of Fox & Friends First on Fox News Channel's 1st hour, she worked for the channel from 2010 to 2020. She is currently the anchor of the co-anchor show American Agenda on News max TV. Childers was born in Hartsville, South Carolina, and was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1987, she graduated Myers Park High School. Childers studied at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and later earned the Bachelor's degree in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Childers started her professional career with WCNC-TV in Charlotte as an editor and reporter in the early 1990s. She was a reporter as well as producer at WLOS which was an ABC affiliate located in Asheville, North Carolina. As anchor, she joined News 14 Carolina as a reporter in 2002. Childers joined Fox News Channel as a reporter in November of 2010. She was promoted to anchor at the America's News Headquarters, August 2011 and was promoted to anchor in her second year. Beginning in 2017, she was an early morning Fox anchor. She was the host of the Fox & Friends First first episode from 4-5 a.m. Childers tweeted a message in April 2012 that linked to an article published on a website known as a fringe one that was promoting "birther" conspiracy theories. The article claimed that Barack Obama had threatened Chelsea Clinton's life, if she spoke of Obama's "Obama birth certificate" or the absence of it."
